Individual counselling is a confidential, one-to-one conversation between you and a trained therapist — a space entirely dedicated to you, your thoughts, and your experience. There are no agendas, no judgements, and no expectations about how you should feel or where you should be in life.
Unlike speaking to friends or family, therapy offers something different: a relationship built on trust, professional training, and a genuine commitment to your wellbeing. Each session is shaped around you — your pace, your concerns, and what matters most to you right now.
Whether you are seeking clarity, relief, deeper self-understanding, or simply a space to be heard, individual counselling can offer a meaningful and lasting difference to how you experience yourself and the world around you.
What makes it different?
Completely confidential
Tailored to your needs
No fixed agenda or pressure
Rooted in your pace
A relationship built on trust
How I Can Support You
People come to counselling for many different reasons, and there is no experience that is too small or too complicated to bring. Below are some of the areas I commonly support adults with — though this is by no means an exhaustive list. If you are unsure whether what you are going through is something I can help with, please do reach out and we can talk it through together.
Anxiety & Stress
Persistent worry, overwhelm, panic, or the feeling that you simply cannot switch off.
Grief & Loss
Bereavement, the end of a relationship, loss of identity, or any change that has left you grieving.
Low Self-Esteem & Shame
Difficult feelings about yourself, inner criticism, shame, or a sense of not being enough.
Relationship Difficulties
Patterns in relationships, communication struggles, boundaries, or recurring conflict.
Identity & Life Changes
Questions around who you are, life transitions, purpose, or feeling lost at a crossroads.
Trauma & Difficult Experiences
Processing past events, difficult childhood experiences, or things you have never had space to speak about.
My Approach To Individual Counselling
Rooted in Transactional Analysis
I work from a foundation of Transactional Analysis (TA) — a well-established, humanistic approach to therapy that helps people understand how past experiences shape the patterns we carry into our present-day relationships, communication, and sense of self.
TA can sound complex, but I use it in a way that is grounded, accessible, and genuinely useful. Together, we explore the stories you have come to believe about yourself and the world — and gently begin to question whether those stories still serve you.
Warm, thoughtful, and non-judgemental
My way of working is warm, careful, and deeply respectful of each person's experience. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every person who comes to see me brings their own unique history, and I take that seriously.
I will never rush you, push you further than you are ready to go, or tell you how you ought to feel. My role is to walk alongside you — curious, steady, and wholly on your side — as you begin to make sense of what you are carrying and find your way forward.
"My aim is to create a space where you feel genuinely safe to be honest — perhaps more honest than you have been anywhere else."
Individual Counselling May Help If You Are…
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come to counselling feeling quietly stuck, worn down, or simply uncertain about where they are in life. If any of the following resonate with you, individual counselling may offer meaningful support.
Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out
Carrying too much, for too long, with no clear sense of how to put any of it down.
Stuck in the same patterns
Noticing that the same situations, feelings, or relationship dynamics keep repeating — and wondering why.
Struggling with self-worth
Living with a persistent inner voice that tells you that you are not good enough, likeable enough, or worthy of good things.
Navigating change or loss
Facing a significant life transition — a bereavement, relationship ending, career change, or shift in identity — and finding it hard to adjust.
Feeling emotionally drained or numb
Going through the motions without really feeling present, or experiencing emotions that feel too big, too confusing, or simply absent.
Wanting to understand yourself better
Feeling curious about why you think, feel, or behave the way you do — and ready to explore that with gentle, professional support.
In-Person and Online Sessions
In-Person Counselling — Coventry & Warwickshire
I offer face-to-face individual counselling sessions in Coventry and Kenilworth.
Meeting in person can feel particularly grounding — there is something valuable about sharing a physical space, and many clients find this helps them feel more present and connected in their sessions.
My consulting room is a quiet, private, and welcoming space. You will always be able to arrive, settle, and leave with full discretion.
Online sessions are available via secure video call and are just as meaningful and effective as meeting in person. Many clients prefer online therapy for its flexibility, privacy, and the comfort of being in their own environment.
Online counselling is a particularly good option if you are based outside Coventry and Warwickshire, have mobility or health considerations, or simply find it easier to fit sessions around your daily life. All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection.
What to Expect at Your Counselling Session
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. I want to make this process as clear and comfortable as possible, so you know exactly what to expect when you reach out.
1
Getting in Touch
You can get in touch simply by Whatsapp Message or by filling in the contact form and I will respond warmly and promptly. There is no obligation at this stage — it is simply a conversation.
2
Initial Consultation
We begin with a brief initial conversation — a chance for you to share a little about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions, and see how you feel about working together.
3
Your First Session
The first full session is an opportunity to explore your story at your own pace. There is nothing you need to have prepared. I will gently guide the conversation and ensure you feel at ease throughout.
4
Ongoing Sessions
Sessions are typically weekly, though we can discuss what works best for you. Everything shared in sessions remains strictly confidential, and we will always work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
Confidentiality is central to everything I do. What you share in our sessions stays between us. The only exceptions to this are outlined clearly at the start of our work together, in line with professional and ethical guidelines.
Individual Counselling Fees
I believe therapy should be straightforward — including what it costs. Below you'll find my current fees. If you'd like to discuss anything before booking, the Discovery Session is always free and without obligation.
Sessions Available
Flexible appointments to suit your schedule — daytime, evening, weekends and online sessions currently available
Why Work With Me
I am an advanced MSc trainee psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), working under regular clinical supervision in line with professional standards. My training is in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy — a rich, humanistic tradition that I bring to every session with care and thoughtfulness.
Beyond my training, what I hope you will feel most clearly when you work with me is that I am genuinely invested in you. I do not approach therapy as a service transaction — I approach it as a relationship, built on honesty, respect, and a real belief in your capacity to grow and change.
I am fully insured, DBS checked, and committed to inclusive, affirming practice. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and I work hard to ensure that the space I offer is one where everyone feels safe and respected.

Your Questions, Answered
Here are some questions I am often asked about individual counselling. If there is something you do not see here, please do not hesitate to get in touch — there are no silly questions, and I am always happy to help.
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
If something is troubling you — whether big or small — counselling can help. You do not need to be in crisis. Many people come simply because they want to understand themselves better or feel less alone with what they are carrying.
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is fundamental to the work we do. Everything shared in sessions is kept strictly private. The only exceptions — such as risk of serious harm — are explained clearly at the start of our work together, in line with ethical guidelines.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
This varies for every person. Some people find that a short course of sessions is enough; others choose to work more long-term. There is no pressure either way, and we review this together as our work progresses.
Is online counselling as effective as in-person?
Research suggests that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions for many people. What matters most is that you feel comfortable, safe, and heard — and that is something I am committed to providing whichever format you choose.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a gentle introduction. We will explore what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels like a good fit. There is nothing you need to prepare — just come as you are.
Do you work with people outside Coventry and Warwickshire?
Yes — through online sessions, I work with clients across the UK. If you are based further afield and are looking for thoughtful, professional support, I would love to hear from you.
Ready to take the first step?
Reaching out takes courage, and I want you to know that there is a warm, unhurried welcome waiting for you. Whether you have a specific question or simply want to find out more, I would love to hear from you. There is no commitment, no pressure — just a conversation.
